Currently serves as the Executive Chairman of Destiny Holdings and director of companies, Ernest brings a wealth of experience in Corporate and ICT Governance, establishing and developing businesses, Business Executive Advisory and consulting solutions, as well as developing and implementing Corporate Strategies. He also serves as Chairman at Destiny Village and the Association of Business Executives (ABE) South Africa, which has been accredited as ABE’s South African partner by ABE UK. He is a board member at Nokukhanya Energy as well as Chairman for the nomination committee, Board and Council member at the Johannesburg Chamber of Commerce and Industry (JCCI).
His previous roles include immediate past President and chairman of the (JCCI) where he completed his second term of national office at the end of 2017. He previously served the chamber as its Chairman for region A of the City of Jo’burg. Ernest is the founding and past CEO at Bazisa Technical Waste Solutions (an environmental management company founded in partnership with Knoten Weimer in Germany. Board and Chairman for Risk and Audit Committee at Matthew Goniwe School of Leadership and Governance (a GDE entity supporting all principals and educators through Gauteng province. Risk and Audit Committee Chairman at Bold Moves (A section 21 company supporting schools, hospitals etc. through inter-alia infrastructure renovations and governance framework).
He is the former Co-Chairperson of the services committee for the Computing Technology Industry Association (CompTIA) Africa, Former Managing director and General Manager of Litha Technologies (a joint venture with Hi-Technology Group-which later became First Technology Group), Chief Executive of Techlitha Technologies, Non-executive chairman of Tirisan Technology, Director at Skymo Telecoms, as well as ITEC Hlanganani. He also served as the Technical Director of Top Di- a joint Venture with Top Group based in China.
Ernest has made a significant contribution towards Broad Based Black Economic Empowerment (BBBEE) as well as skills development and mentorship during the past 16 years. As the past delegate and current Fellow of the Institute of Directors (IoD), Ernest fully subscribes to the principles of Corporate Governance as stipulated in the King report on Corporate Governance. Ernest is an activist and Social Entrepreneur within the communities that he serves.
